Natural Areas Stewardship program - an initiative by the Fraser Valley Conservancy.
The Fraser Valley Conservancy operates as a land trust that places lands in trust for the future. We are a registered not for profit society and charitable organization formed by the Abbotsford Community Foundation and the City of Abbotsford in 1998. In 2005, we updated our purpose and expanded our interest to the Fraser Valley. The purpose of our society is to promote the acquisition and preservation of areas with ecological and historic value in the Fraser Valley.
 
In achieving this purpose, Fraser Valley Conservancy has the following goals:

(i) protect and preserve land and watercourses that have recognized local and regional ecological value; 
(ii) promote land stewardship; 
(iii) protect and preserve rare and endangered species; and
(iv) protect and preserve land of recognized local and regional historic value.
